Halloween costume & big smile!

Happy Halloween to All!
Yesterday, my day started out by being a door greeter for Rotary.
(at 6:45am)  So, another Deb and I decided to dress up to bring fun to the group.  I have to say "It Worked", not one person walked through the door without a big smile.
After Rotary, I had a dentist appointment, so costume and all I went!
Meet my dentist, Lois Duerst~great lady, thorough dentist and super nice office employees.
I am normally a Witch, almost every year but this year I saw this face on Pinterest and decided to give it a try.  Well, it required me to get up at 4:45am to get started.  The makeup was not the problem, the hair took forever.  I have a wig on, rollers making the circles in the front, rose placement, and on & on.
Yep, Sexy~I know!
I had a hard time playing this character, as I smile a lot and this was supposed to be a serious mummy face.  Didn't realize what a challenge not smiling was going to be.
Legs and witch shoes!
Hope this brought a smile to your face.  Happy Halloween!  Debbie

fall into this trench

This post just makes me think~
Happy Fall to you All!
It was a brisk day when these pictures were taken.  Although, I'm not ready for the cold weather, I looked forward to wearing this trench.
This trench had 2 main things going for it.  One the color and the secondly the quilting, which is on trend for the season.  I would normally not wear quilting because of the bulk but this jacket's quilting is beautifully sewn with tight squares.

Hope you are enjoying the fall weather, if it has arrived to your area!

purple passion

Glad today is Friday!
Last night I hosted a Fashion Show benefiting the Big Brothers/Big Sisters Program.  It went really well but today is a day of relief!  I hadn't done a Fashion Show since I owned a children's boutique.
I wore this dress to church a couple of weeks ago.  Super comfy!
It was a windy Sunday!

Shopping for color

When you are out shopping for clothing for yourself, do you shop for trends, certain styles, occasions, or color?
The top that I have on today, I bought for the color.  I didn't have this color green in my closet and I really like the hue.
As someone trained in color analysis, I try to stick with the colors in my color palette and this green happens to be in it.
Did you know that wearing the right color clothing for your skin tone and hair will make you look younger?  Can you imagine what I would look like in olive green?  It's not a good thing.  It would take a lot of makeup to help.
Do you know the colors that are best for you?  I encourage you to have Color Analysis done on yourself.  You will surprised at how the different hues make a big difference.
Cheers to you and looking younger in Your Colors!
Thank you for reading, Debbie

Caramel mix

Happy Wednesday to you all!
It is not often that I find real bargains anywhere, especially in pants.
I have long legs, a long rise and it is just not fun shopping for pants.
But, I happen to go into the Gap store after shopping for my grandbabies and found some real pant bargains.  These being a pair.
They remind me of caramel candy all stirred up and how perfect for fall.
