Blues

Happy Tuesday!
Hope your week is off to a great start.
My outfit today was inspired by a blog done by Atlantic-Pacific.
She is a blogger that I follow daily.
If you get tired of the clothing that is in your closet,
visit the different blogger websites or go to Pinterest for inspiration.
It is amazing how your clothing will feel new again.

Tuxedo "Girls Style"

Last month, I had the opportunity to attend the
St. Pat's Gala.  It was a large fundraiser to support their Catholic School.
I do not attend the Catholic church but knew friends going and I wanted to see how they ran their gala for ideas for the Rotary Gala.
It was a great time and many generous parents, grandparents, etc. attended.
It had to have been a huge success.
I had never wore this women's version of a tux and felt this was my opportune chance.  My daughter, Brooke who is the makeup artist, dolled me all up.  She put false eyelashes on me and added the extensions to my hair.  It added a little extra fun and glam to the night.

One last picture before we left!

Christmas morning

Sharing my family with you!
I really enjoy when other bloggers share their families with their followers, so I thought I would do the same.  The pictures are not photo shopped, no makeup added, etc. ~Pure Natural!
 "Look Hudson, Santa arrived"
The kids all stayed the night on Christmas Eve, so we got to enjoy Hudson & Harlow first thing.
Grampie got the hook up, as he loves coffee.  Thanks to Brooke and John.
Hudson playing with his gift from us and watching a Christmas video at the same time.
 Good Morning from Harlow!
I couldn't resist adding this photo, it shows her little teeth peeking through.
This girl doesn't mess around, she is getting 5 teeth at once.
Danielle is a big Lady Gaga fan.  Her sister hooked her up with Gaga shades.
The are truly awesome.
Seeing double!  Grandma purchased one and Brooke purchased him one.
He loved them both and didn't want to return either.  Parker loves his b'ball.
 No, Cinderella they don't fit!
My husband spoiled me with a pair of Valentino bow pumps.  I was SO surprised!
I am loving everything with bows, right now.
Harlow loved her makeup station.  Like mommy, like daughter! (grammie too)
I needed new gloves and I got the hook up, 3 new pair.
My daughter, Danielle puts her graphic design skills to work and handmade these note cards for me.  The handmade stamp in the box for future replenishing.
Harlow was our present last year on Jan. 15, she is about to celebrate 1 year. (Did!)
 Parker in his new dudes.
My daughter, Brooke is a Louis Vuitton fan.  Her finance spoiled her with 2 new rings and an awesome key chain/purse charms.  and.........how about those nails?
Another girl who loves fashion. (Vince Camuto boots)
The girls of fashion have to keep the guys in fashion, as well.
Thank you, Pat!  I'm liking the Henri Bendel store.
Harlow loves to blow raspberries.  She also curves her tongue.
 Sport's ear buds.
"Grammie", I didn't mean to pull on the beads.
 "What is this?"
Not in focus but the balloon came out of the box with a note attached.  As one of Brooke & John's gifts, we purchased a hot air balloon ride for the two of them.  She scared!
The start of cookware for our college daughter.  She is a Junior at Gustavus and will soon need her own cooking supplies.  She will also need some classes, as she never cooks.
The Bose store liked us.  Parker no longer needs an extension cord when he is shooting hoops.
 Hudson's favorite thing.
Yes, I bought the girls some "trash" magazines and I bought the right one for Brooke.

Trends gone bad

When I first look at this photo, it scares me.  Oh, how the cut of clothing is everything.  This season over sized coats seem to be an "in thing" and this coat proves a point.  Don't wear clothing just because it is an "in thing".
I purchased this coat at an Estate Sale, very very reasonably.  I loved the fabric and the buttons.  The coat was too big when I purchased it but took it to have it altered.  They did alter the coat but not enough.
In Hudson, WI we have a Christmas Tour of Home event where 5 homes are put on display, decorated over the top.  It is a really fun event.  My home was on the tour 2 years ago and that year we attended the Black Tie event where you pay extra money and get to attend the night prior to the opening day and are chauffeured by a bus.  And, it is a night, so the houses look twice as beautiful.  Since then, we have been attending the Black Tie each year.
This year, I decided to wear Vintage head- to- toe (well all most, not shoes)
I purchased this dress at an antique store in Hudson and loved the fabric and the beading.  The beading was in perfect condition after all these years.
This photo has my daughter, Brooke's spa in the background.
And.....this would be Brooke in a trendy outfit, which her mom would never wear.  I would not like the "bra look", even though you wear less in a bathing suit.
This is a couch in her spa and I "Love It".
How about that leopard carpet?  Great neutral.
These 2 photos are taken with some fancy camera and lightening.  Good thing I use lots of "lotions and potions" or this could be even scarier than the first picture in the over sized coat.
I'm not used to such close ups!

Dress, Coat & Handbag are all Vintage.

Hope your holiday season is off to a great start.
Thank you for reading,  Debbie
